I am a professor of Sustainable Urbanism and Development at Nalanda University. As an international sustainability leader, published author, and lecturer, and throughout my career I brought strategy concepts to bear on many of the most challenging issues, collaborating with world leaders from the World Bank, UN, Harvard , Columbia University and other prestigious entities.
I have worked for over 20 years linking climate, health and urbanization into the decisions made by governments, industry and communities around the globe. I bring a broad range of skills and experience in a variety of sectors and disciplines, particularly in relation to disaster management, continuity management systems and urban climate risk management and health, integrating strategies across the urban sectors, disciplines and stakeholders with relevant science to generate on- ground action. I have assembled and developed solutions to the inter- linked issues of climate change, the energy transition, climate health risks, urbanization, the role of ICT and disaster risk reduction and in meshing these with broader development goals within the public and private sectors. I have deep experience working in climate science, policy, risk frameworks and a long-standing commitment to co- designing and implementing effective and equitable climate change strategies with diverse stakeholders.

I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, U.K. under the supervision of Dr. Rohinton Emmanuel.
My knowledge spans a significant number of topics, and work to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve global issues affecting today’s society. I built frameworks and pragmatic solutions using risk management and risk mechanism design models to develop and implement policies, and policy solutions to achieve social, and economic equality and environmental protection to achieve sustainable development.
I am humbled and honored to be the recipient of the 2013 Harvard University Derek Bok Civic Prize Award that recognizes creative initiatives in community service and long-standing records of civic achievement.
